People may have many reasons to blog but if your motivation is not strong
enough, you'll likely quit before firmly establishing the site! It is important
to realize that once you start blogging your efforts will need to be consistent
and ongoing to earn the loyalty of your blog readers and this takes time! Our
discussion here today is to identify 3 reasons that will help to boost and
maintain your motivation as a blogger! Obviously without being properly
motivated once you start blogging, you run the risk of wasting both time and
effort by not sticking with it long enough to fully develop your platform!
Here are 3 reasons to consider, that can offer you the motivation needed to
help you maintain your commitment as a blogger!
Help Others
We all reached a stage in our lives where we should/need to pass on what we
learned! Most of everything I compose comes from MY experiences and if it helps
others the gratification can often be better than earning a income! On the
other hand money works well too! If your motivation is to help others however,
you should start blogging about your experiences and/or passions since people
could learn from you! There is no better place to be heard or even seen, and on
a global level, than the internet!
Sense of Building Something
Being that developing a sizable and loyal following of blog readers takes
patience and time it gives you the feeling you're actually building something!
Whether it's relationships with others, your writing skills:-), or even a
business, it's all a result and by-product of the strength of your commitment!
Allowing visitors to leave comments or offer suggestions also helps you build a
community that as it grows, can be a very satisfying feeling for you as the
site administrator!
Connect with Like Minded People
Many people start blogging about a topic with which they have a good deal
of interest and they want to share their enthusiasm! You know the feeling when
you encounter others who share your likes and dislikes,it's a pretty cool
sensation! Sharing what you know and learning even more from visitors to your
site could be your motivation to start blogging provided your passion/interests
run deep enough!
It is important that you define your reasons to blog even before you start
blogging since if your motivation is weak, you'll likely quit! The problem with
quitting is all the effort you stand to waste simply because in order to
develop loyal blog readers, both time and effort are required! The 3
'suggestions' above may or may not be strong enough to fire up your motivation
but your own reasons MUST be strong! This is something that deserves your
serious consideration so that when you do start blogging, a lack of commitment
will NOT sabotage your efforts!
