These days some very highly searched key words are 'make money
online.' A lot of people are desperate, out of work and looking for
alternatives. They are turning to the internet as a way to make money
online. But what is the reality of making money online? Is it possible?
The answer is a combination of good news and bad news...
Making money online is not as simple as it sounds. Like any other venture, online success requires a few things:
1. It requires education/knowledge. You can't just start clicking around on the internet, or join someones system and start watching the checks roll in. You need to know what you're doing and to have a plan and follow it. Education and knowledge are power--online and off. Anyone who is truly making money online has educated themselves on how to do it. However, learning today is convenient and there are a lot of people who can teach you what you need to know. It's usually cheaper and less time consuming than going back to school...just make sure you like and trust your source and that you treat whatever system you choose as an educational tool, just as you would a course at school.
2. It requires work and discipline. You need a plan and you need to be actively working toward the end goal every single day. Even if it's just a little every day, over time you will see results if you work and stick with one thing. But remember that the internet is full of attractive money making offers and it is easy to get distracted and lose focus, thinking that the newest thing is easier and more lucrative.
But if you jump from system to system, you will end up wasting your time and even losing money.
Stick with one plan and see it through. No distractions. Clear your inbox and if a flashy offer gets in front of you, take pride in not getting sucked in, and go back to, and finish whatever daily activity you started the day with.
3. It requires time. Anything worth building takes time if you are going to have a solid foundation to your venture that will hold for years. There are no get rich quick schemes of real substance. Have patience. Believe in yourself... that you have what it takes to see your plan through to the end and in the power of your bigger vision. Even if you just spend an hour a day toward your goal... after one year, or even a couple months, you will have a very solid foundation.
So the bottom line about making money online? Yes, it is possible but don't count on it being fast. Keep your day job while you build something in your free time. And once your online business equals or surpasses your day income, then you can think about making it your main.
